Dentist puts down Dental Insurance
I have a current dental HMO insurance plan, and when I went to my dentist I was told they long loner accept my plan. Then they started telling me having insurance is not really worth it. And that I would be better off just getting there in house saving plan. Which is more costly then my current insurance plan that I been happy with until now. Not sure what I should do.
Reply: From what seen online and from what people tell me, only people that seemly puts down having dental insurance are dentist themselves. Typically dentist that are not a provider of any dental insurance plans.
Yet for you it comes down to how important it is to stay with your current dentist. If paying more for some in house discount saving plan is worth it to you in order to stay with that dentist then make the move.
However, up till now your insurance has been good to you. You stated you like it. Therefore there is nothing wrong with your dental insurance plan. A dentist should not put down having dental insurance just because they do not accept our plan. In that I do not think your dentist is being fair. If there are other dentist within the plan network you are willing to see you may want to keep your insurance and change your dentist.
